Scam Email: Christine Cannon

Very odd that this scammer felt the need to make their fake last name all capital letters. Also, their fake email address is pretty poorly constructed from their fake name. The rest of it is all classic to what we typically see.

  1. She contacted me as well! I instantly felt uncomfortable with this transaction. Requested payment sent to a neutral territory and UPS location. And i said that I would only be comfortable with shipping direct to her. No arrangements made by clients accepted! Glad to know its definitely a scam!

  2. Contacted me also today with the verbatim email posted by Katie Moe. The wording sounded HIGHLY suspicious to me, and I have not responded to her, and likely will not do so.

THANK YOU FOR LETTING US KNOW ABOUT THESE SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!

  3. I have just found out that I have been scammed by an art scammer calling themselves Gretta White. I found your site and also artscams.com where I found the very same "Gretta White" in one or two sample letters posted on the site.

I do appreciate your effort to combat this crime and spread the word to other artists. I am a hard person to con, or so I thought, but was willing to overlook the odd English and inconsistent responses to my emails, until I received a money order in excess of the cost of the print. From that point on things began to look suspect and I finally put two and tow together with the help of your site and Art Scams.

Thank you and best wishes to you.
