    Hello Lisa,

I was surprised to hear from you because I haven't actively publicized my website. How did you find it?

As far as the works in question, I still have them. Are you looking to buy for yourself? We an arrange a studio visit so you can see them in person.

    Best,
    [ME]

    Hi [ME] ,

Thanks so much for your response to my query about those creative works. I will like to proceed with the purchase of both pieces . Can you pls confirm the actual size and price of the two pieces so i can know how best to proceed. I will also like to know what inspire you to make the pieces. I think i first saw your work Summer of 2010 .

I will look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Best Regards,
    Lisa.

  2. I heard from Lisa today saying she wants to buy my piece. I told her that I would bill her Paypal for the fee and once the amount it received the painting will go out.

    We'll see!

    1. Be careful. Paypal payments can be revoked.

  3. I asked "Lisa Giroud" for a credit card number, address and telephone number and never heard back. Plus sent the e-mails sent to me by the "scammer" to the address that the scammer gave me to mail the artworks - that homeowner has contacted the state police - hopefully the scammer is caught - I'm sick of lunatics wasting my time.

  4. Just wanted to let you know that Lisa Giroud, or whoever he/she is, is still attempting to scam artists. I got a similar email recently. I didn't trust it, but let it go as far as receiving payment.

The check, drawn on a company in Maryland, was sent from a third party in Ohio. It was $800 more than the agreed price of the artwork. When I contacted her, she did just what I expected ... told me to deposit the check, keep the amount of the painting plus shipping, and return the rest along with the painting to yet another address.

I am trying to contact the company whose name is on the check to let them know, in case their account has been breached.

Thanks for posting this stuff in your blog. Very helpful to artists. I didn't fall for this one, but unfortunately, another artist friend did a few years ago.
